Historic Preservation
Historic preservation is a community effort. The Suwanee Creek Chapter, NSDAR, works with local churches and historical societies to protect historic documents, make selected records available online, and care for historic cemeteries.
The time, talents, and generosity of chapter Daughters, church families, historical societies, the Digital Library of Georgia, and dedicated volunteers make this work possible. Together, they have cleaned headstones, scanned and transcribed documents, prepared grant applications, organized volunteers and preservation projects, and helped safeguard important pieces of local history for future generations.
