Preserving Historic Church Records
In August 2024, Level Creek United Methodist Church entrusted our chapter with a collection of historic documents dating from the late 1800s through the mid-1900s.

Chapter Daughters scanned and transcribed the records, which document church membership, pastors, marriages, service dates, Sunday School participation, and Epworth League activities.

Accessing the Records
A subgrant from the Digital Library of Georgia made it possible to place the collection online. The original documents are available for viewing through the Gwinnett Historical Society.
A Resource for Family History
These records are especially valuable for genealogical research because the church rolls and registers preserve the names of women associated with the congregation before 1919. They may help researchers identify people and family connections that are difficult to locate in other surviving records from the period.
